Educational Qualifications:

Any bachelor’s degree, though bachelor’s or masters in mass communication is preferred.


Public Consulting Analysts

This is an opportunity to impact governments ranging from local to the national level, bring change through the development of strategies and plans that drive faster adoption, and ensure economic prosperity is achieved. 

You Have: 

  • Enthusiastic about applying quantitative data and analysis to inform and improve the effectiveness of public policy and public administration
  • Ability to support business development initiatives and participate in marketing activities including whitepapers, proposals, and capability briefings
  • Possession of excellent leadership, critical thinking, analytical, and data management skills
  • Experience in working with teams, building and maintaining a strong team dynamic, and building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based government or management consulting environment 
  • Experience in facilitating in-person and virtual meetings with clients, producing client-ready products, and optimizing business performance
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and provision of quality assurance 
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Public Consulting – Mentors

Mentorship Opportunities for Ex-LAMP fellows, ex-Chief ministers fellows, and Public Policy consultants from international development institutions such as World Bank Group(WBG), International Monetary Fund(IMF), Asian Development Bank(ADB), United Nations(UN), World Economic Forum(WEF), and others.

This paid mentorship opportunity is paid hourly after 3 months of association with us. Since this is the first of its kind in public consulting which is offering services to political entrepreneurs, I expect services and products to be shaped as the organization grows. ​The mentorship program is to guide public consulting analysts​ who are ​​masters in public policy ​graduates ​​to ​discharge their responsibilities with utmost creativity and conviction.

​Time: 1-2 hours/week

​​The responsibilities ​of a mentor are not limited to are 

  • Offer his/her past LAMP fellowship experience​ lectures/discussions
  • Guide analyst team on their tasks assigned on creating a citizen satisfaction survey questionnaire
  • Mentor analysts on project work assigned under the dedicated leader in office in areas such as Economic Development, Mobility & Energy, Environment & Climate, Government and Administration, Education, and well-being

Case Study For Interns

We work on real-life use cases day in and out. Here is the sample of the usual use case,

Sara Bhanu is a middle-class woman living in Serilingampally constituency,  Telangana. She has two children, a 10-year-old and an 8-year-old.

By keeping Sustainable Development Goals in view, validate Sara Bhanu’s living standards and ready the parameters for calculating the Human Development Index, considering different possible conditions of others  terms of living standards.
 
1. Be in the interviewer’s shoes to ask what answers you need or expect to understand the family’s situation and social standards.
Example: household income, whether she is a single parent, owns a house, their living conditions.

Here the responsibility of the Policy Analyst is to prepare the list of the questionnaire for i.Di Social’s business development team to collect the information from the general public.

2. Understand what social schemes apply to her and her family to improve their living conditions. Infer what State and Central government schemes are effective if her family utilizes them to the full extent.

Here the responsibility of the Policy Analyst is to synthesize the state and central budget to understand the budgeted money for different domains/departments which might help Ms. Bhanu’s family. Ex: Mid-day meal schemes, women empowerment schemes.

3. Identify the budgeted amounts allotted to the various social schemes of State and central governments.

Here the responsibility of the Policy Analyst is to validate whether the allocation would improve India’s rank in the global index such as the Human Development index.

4. Help i.Di Social in assisting her make use of these schemes effectively and creating a feedback loop that enables agile policymaking.

Here the responsibility of the Policy Analyst is to analyze the possible ways of creating various feedback loops for effectively formulating and implementing policies.  Ex: How to consolidate the support from the local opposition leaders, activists, and families of similar economic standards.
